Ever since I watched Julie and Julia I have been wondering about blogging. There are a lot of people out there who are blogging about their daily adventures, some about their crafts, some about their families, I on the other hand don't think all that stuff is very exciting but apparently my friends do. I thought I could start out by telling about me and posting a picture of my latest finished afghan and maybe later on down the road I could show my jewelry projects and pictures from classes.
Today, as they say it, is the first day of the rest of my life.
Last weekend we spent our time in beautiful Visalia, Calif at the California Federation Of Mineralogical Societies semi-annual meeting. Not really exciting but fairly informative. We always get to see people we haven't seen for several days, weeks, months. We have lots of friends there. We always seem to manage to have a private little meeting of our own omewhere and just talk and drink wine and act like people who are much younger.
Then we get home and fine that the cat has upchucked on the carpet, or some other appetizing thing; as well as 185 emails asking up to enlarge or reactivate or just plain energize some part of our bodies long since forgotten. Ah yes, and those 600 identical emails from who knows who with the exact same picture of the redneck man on the outhouse toilet while the tornado is blowing the building from around him.
Well, I can't say that it is not exciting.....uh huh!
